
Dr. Weiss started with Gettysburg Cancer Center in 1989. Dr. Weiss completed his Undergraduate and medical school at the University of Minnesota and completed his internship in mixed medicine-surgery at West Virginia University Hospital where he also completed his residency. Dr. Weiss was a Chief medical officer (captain) in the U.S army from 1967 to 1969, chief of the investigation branch at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, and became a clinical Professor of medicine at Lombardi Cancer Center of Georgetown University.
Dr. Weiss is a member of American college of Physicians, American society of clinical Oncology, American Association of Cancer Research, Society of Surgical Oncology, American Cancer Society, Senior Investigator Cancer and Leukaemia group b WVU Medical Center, Principal Investigator, Cancer and Leukaemia Group B Walter Reed Army Medical Center, International Association for Breast Cancer Research, European Society of Medical Oncology, and American Society of Hematology.
